Style Your Mind Workbook

Back in March when I went a little (and by little I mean a lot) crazy on Amazon buying books, one of them was this really amazing workbook called Style Your Mind. I decided to start it last week as part of my personal development time that I like to set aside a few times a week and I instantly fell in love.

To begin, you write out your vision of what you’d like your life to look like. It’s not like getting super specific but rather a bigger picture. I looked into what my ideal life would look like and wrote what was in my heart and I am really happy with what I wrote. Next, you are asked to define what success is. She writes how important it is to define what success means to you because a lot of times we can get caught up in how others define success and begin basing our goals on their standards of success and not our own. Before this workbook I had never thought of it like that and it truly spoke to me. How often have we tried to be what we think others want us to be? How successful were we of achieving those goals? I know I have never been successful living up to others expectations and I can’t imagine a lot of others have either.

I haven’t gotten farther than this success section but I am really looking forward to what is next. When I decide to take the time and do the activities in this book I make sure to create a calm atmosphere. I light a candle, put on calming music and just let my mind wander and my pen to do the talking. You would be so surprised how easy it is to let your thoughts flow freely when you decide to take care of yourself mentally. Take this time to be completely honest with yourself and what it is your heart really wants out of this exercise. The great thing about this workbook is that you can come back to it time and again even after you finish it. You can redo the exercises whenever you feel you need a refresh and I love that!

If you are looking for a personal development tool then I highly recommend this workbook! Go ahead and empower yourself and build the life you have always wanted. It may take a while but you’ll get there! All you have to decide is when to start!
