Pantry Staples
There are certain things that we always have in our pantry. They are go to items or items that we use quite often. When I get around to meal planning I always know that we have these things or it’s something we need to pick up and a lot of it lasts longer than the week. What are your pantry staples?
- Muesli- This is actually a relatively new addition to our pantry staples but I love it. I eat it with milk, or over some yogurt with fresh berries.
- Nuts, seeds, and dried fruits- These make great snacks and are also great yogurt toppings. The nuts we usually get are almonds, walnuts, and pecans. For seeds we occasionally will get chia seeds but sunflower seeds seem to always be in there! And for dried fruits we generally stick to dates, apricots, and raisins.
- Oats- We love oatmeal in our house!
- Honey
- Popcorn kernels- You haven’t had the best popcorn until you’ve made it at home!
- Panko break crumbs- I don’t use this a ton but if I ever need something to have a crispy golden crust these are my go to bread crumbs!
- Olive oil- We also have coconut and canola oils as well!
- Canned beans- easy to throw in a salad, make bean burgers, or heat up and add things to for a side dish!
- Tuna
- Minute brown rice- We have regular too but this takes minutes to prepare as opposed to an hour!
- Balsamic vinegar- I think we have pretty much every other kind of vinegar too. They are great for salads!
- Corn tortillas
