Setting Small Weekly Goals

I love making lists. There is something comforting and relaxing about the act of planning things. I find making goal lists to be one of the most therapeutic activities ever. This is especially true when I find myself off track and can’t seem to find the motivation to get back on it.

Something that I have found especially helpful is setting 2-3 weekly goals. I get a cup of tea, light a candle, and sit down and set my intention for the week ahead. I prefer to do this on Sundays but as of late it’s been happening closer to Monday evening. My goals range from health and fitness goals like drink X amount of water each day this week or do two 2-a-day workouts this week to putting an item that is on my to do list that I haven’t gotten around to doing. They aren’t huge goals that take long periods of time to do. They are short and attainable and once I get to check them off my motivation is spiked and it makes me want to keep going.

At the moment I am writing these goals on a little notepad I have that is a like a week view that I picked up at Target for like $2…total bargain!! I use this to track my water everyday (when I remember to update it) as well as write down the different appointments I have that week and what blog posts I have scheduled to go up. You could really write these goals anywhere but they should be in a place where they are easily referenced and some place that you will look at them everyday.

Give this a try and I promise you can’t help but feel motivated kick ass and take names!!
