5 Things In November

December is finally here and what better way to kick off the month than recapping what we got up to and what I’ve been loving in the month of November?!

Our NYC Trip

At the beginning of the month, we took off back East to visit The Big Apple! It was both our first time visiting the city and we both LOVED every minute of the trip! We stayed in Mid-town Manhattan which was probably the best place to stay as it was in the centralized location where we could get to all the attractions we wanted to see. We also utilized the subway quite a bit which made getting to the places farther away a whole lot easier. Some of the highlights of the trip were visiting Central Park and The Met, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, going to the Today show, seeing the Statue of Liberty, having dinner with an old friend Jamie and her husband Rob in Queens, and seeing Wicked on Broadway (I sobbed twice…)! We would like to make a return visit and explore more at some point in the future!

Bridesmaid’s Dress Shopping

One of my oldest and best friends is getting married next year and I am her maid of honor. We went with two of the other bridesmaids to pick out our dresses for the occasion! I can’t wait for the wedding festivities coming up in the new year!

Twinings Christmas Tea Selection

It’s not a new thing that I am writing about how much I love tea! You can check out some of my general favorites that happen to include a variety pack of Twinings breakfast teas in this post here. There isn’t anything cozier this time of year than snuggling up under a blanket with a cup of tea and watching a Christmas movie unless the cup of tea is one of the four teas below and then you have reached ultimate coziness! I have been drinking these four non-stop since I picked them up last month. I have even had to refill the Peppermint Vanilla flavor already! If you are looking for some delicious festive teas I highly recommend these!

Friendsgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were invited over to our friends Calvin and Vicki’s house for the occasion. I am someone who has only ever celebrated the holidays with my family or Jake’s family so this was our very first Friendsgiving and it did not disappoint! There were only 5 people eating but we had enough food to feed about 10. I am thankful for the leftovers, Jake and I have been nibbling on them all weekend!

Decorating for Christmas

If you’ve been over on my Instagram you know that I have spent all this weekend getting our house all decorated for Christmas. I think decorating for the holidays is one of my favorite things to do. I even decorated our front porch with festive garland and am going to work on the staircase garland and a wreath at some point this week. I love turning on my Traditional Christmas Pandora station and going to town! There will be a post of all of my finished decor later this month but for a sneak peek check out my Instagram!

What did you get up to last month? Is there something you are loving? Share it below in the comments or DM me over on my Instagram @learning.to.bloom!
