DIY Halloween: Spiderweb Wreath
If you know me or have ever looked at my Instagram or Blog during the holidays you know how much I LOVE to decorate! I enjoy adding to my collection of decor every year and decided that I wanted to do more DIY decor this Halloween! So I hit up Pinterest for ideas and this series of DIY Halloween was born!
This first project is so cute! I have one wreath for this time of year and it is a cute little glittery black one that looks like branches. I decided I wanted a new wreath and that I wanted to make one instead of buying one as they can be quite pricy. I saw this on Pinterest and had to make it. The best part was that I only needed to purchase the embroidery hoop because I had the rest of the supplies either in my crafting supplies or my decor collection! This was a super easy but fun project and altogether it took me around 30 minutes to complete because I waited for the paint to dry. Give this a try and let me know how it turns out!
DIY Halloween: Spiderweb Wreath
Supplies:
- 14″ Embroidery Hoop (You can use a different size if desired)
- Black Acrylic Paint
- Faux spider webbing
- Faux spiders
- Ribbon
Steps:
- Disassemble the embroidery hoop and paint both of the hoops black. I did two coats on each hoop.
- Spread the faux webbing over the inner hoop until you have your desired look.
- Place the outer hoop over the inner hoop securing the webbing between the two hoops. Tighten the outer hoop to secure the web in place.
- Trip excess webbing from the back.
- Add your faux spiders.
- Secure a ribbon over the fastener part of the embroidery hoop and cut to the desired length that you want the wreath to hang from.
