DIY Halloween: Witch’s Broom

Is it even the beginning of the Fall season without the overwhelming smell of cinnamon the second you walk through the doors at the grocery store? I bought one of those cinnamon brooms a few years ago and thought it was so cute I kept it even after the smell faded. This year I decided to repurpose it and make it officially into a Witch’s broom and I think it turned out so stinkin’ cute! Give this one a try and let me know how it turns out!

DIY Halloween: Witch’s Broom

Supplies:

  • Cinnamon Broom or an old broom of some kind
  • Ribbon
  • Black spray paint with a matte finish
  • Metallic gold acrylic paint

Steps:

  1. Spray paint both sides of the handle of the broom. Coat to your desired look.
  2. Using the gold paint, dry brush the brush end of the broom to add a little magic! I also dry brushed the handle details to break up the black color.
  3. Tie a few strands of ribbon around the broom at the section where the handle and the brush meet, mostly to cover up the paint line.
