DIY Halloween: Trinket Pedestal

This was a last-minute addition to my DIY decor but I absolutely love the way it turned out and will likely be making more of different sizes! It was super easy to do and altogether the project cost me less than $10! The inspiration for this came from the candlestick I used for the project. I bought it from the dollar store a few years ago and have never really used it for anything. Give this one a try and let me know how it turns out!

DIY Halloween: Trinket Pedestal

Supplies:

  • Candlestick
  • Plate (This one is 5 1/2″ from the thrift store)
  • Gorilla Glue (You can use a different one just make sure it will adhere to glass)
  • Black spray paint with a matte finish

Steps:

  1. Follow the instructions on the glue bottle and prepare the two surfaces that are going to be adhered together.
  2. Glue the skinny end of the candlestick to the bottom of the plate. With the Gorilla Glue I needed to wait 24 hours for it to cure.
  3. Using the spray paint, coat the pedestal. I did two coats on the bottom and 2 coats on the top.
