DIY Halloween: Floating Witch Hats

I am a Harry Potter fanatic and these floating witch hats that I am seeing all over Pinterest just remind me so much of the series for some reason! I bought this beautiful new sign for over my Halloween mantle and knew I had to try this decoration myself!

DIY Halloween: Floating Witch Hats

Supplies:

Witch hats (I got mine on Amazon)
Clear thread or fishing line with a needle
Clear push pins

Steps:

Tie a knot at the end of the clear thread. This proved a bit difficult so I put a glue blob over the knot.
Cut the thread at the length you want. Use a needle to bring the thread through the tip of the hat.
Tie the loose end of the thread to a push pin.
Attach the hat to the ceiling with the push pin where you desire!
