Nail Art Ideas to Try for Halloween

Most of the time I go without nail polish. If I do have polish on, it’s a solid light color. But, there is something about Halloween that makes me want to go out of my comfort zone! So, I picked up some polish in Halloween colors and decided on some fun nail art designs! I realize that these don’t look perfect but my goal with them was to have a bit of fun!

There is something so fun about nail art. It is a simple way to add your own style to the traditional manicure. Halloween designs are a fun way to add a bit of festive flare to the everyday! Halloween is such a fun time of year too and the design possibilities are endless!

To create each design I only needed two polish colors and a small paintbrush. The paintbrush created the perfect tip that was perfect for painting on each design! I took inspiration from the character blocks that I created as decoration a few years ago. Since I don’t normally put a ton of effort into my nails I wanted to create something simple and easy for anyone to recreate!

Little Ghosties

I have loved the movie Casper the Friendly Ghost for as long as I can remember and decided this year that I wanted to add a few ghostly touches to my festive looks! For instance, I bought this shirt from Michael’s craft store back in September and fell in love with simple design of little ghosts! It was the perfect addition to this outfit from my Blogtober outfit series and I featured it on my Tik Tok as well!

I loved the little ghosties so much that I decided they would look perfect on my nails as well! I started with two coats of the Essie polish blanc. For the ghost face, I used the paintbrush and the Sally Hansen Xtreme wear in Black Out to create three dots on each nail. It is such a simple design but has a nice impact!

Frankenstein’s Monster Nail Art

I’ve never owned green nail polish but when I saw Essie’s Willow in the Wind, I knew it would be the perfect shade for this design! I started with two coats of the Willow in the Wind green. Then, using the same black color, I created the hair, eyes, and squiggly mouth!

Jack O’ Lantern

And last, but certainly not least, this Jack O’Lantern nail art design turned out so cute! This Sally Hansen Sun Kissed is the perfect Halloween orange! I used two coats of orange but it probably could have used a third. For the Jack O’ Lantern face and the polka dots, I just used the same black color as before!
