Last Minute Costume: Pugsley Addams

Even though my degree is in Theatre Arts, I have never really been into Halloween costumes. When I was in my early 20’s, I would dress up every year with friends. But, as an adult I have just not loved the idea of spending money on something I can’t wear as a regular outfit. So when I was planning Blogtober I knew that costume ideas using items I already had in my wardrobe would be the perfect addition to my content line up! I have three costumes to share and I hope you love them as much as I do!

Last Minute Costume: Pugsley Addams

Two of my favorite movies to watch this time of year are The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. I love the costumes from the film! They are so beautifully done and so iconic. You can recognize the characters immediately just by what they wore in the films. Using these characters as inspiration was a fun way to create this last minute costume idea!

I have this cute striped t-shirt in my wardrobe that always reminds me of Puglsey when I wear it! For the shorts, I took an old pair of black Levi’s and cut the legs off. This worked perfectly! A pair of my husband’s black tube socks and my trusty Steve Madden slip-ons completed the look! I placed my hair in a low pony and skipped any makeup and I loved how this last minute costume idea turned out! This would be such a fun group costume too if you can rope some friends in!
