Last Minute Costume: A Witch

When I say I don’t like to put a ton of effort into my Halloween costumes I mean it! This year I bought some simple little witch hats for a decor project. I realized that they would be perfect as a last-minute costume idea as well! I love getting creative with what I already own in my wardrobe to put costumes together. It means I don’t have to make a trip to the costume store or pay for something outrageous. So, when I saw the witch hats, I knew this would be the perfect last-minute costume idea! Besides, what is a more quintessential costume for the season than a witch?!

I think I have been some version of a witch about six times in my adult life. It is the easiest costume I have found to put together at the last minute. The only thing you’ll likely have to purchase is the hat! My idea for this version of a witch was something sophisticated and sexy but still felt perfectly festive.

I was going through my closet trying to decide what to wear and this shirt caught my eye. It is the most beautiful color and is perfect for this time of year. I have worn it on many occasions and always get such nice compliments on it! I have paired it with black jeans in the past but for this costume, I thought that my black pencil skirt would work perfectly!

For my witchy boots, I just used my trusty black booties from Torrid. These have the perfect heel and would be so comfortable to wear for a party or even going out trick-or-treating with your kids. I don’t have any human children myself, but if ever I do I will be one of those parents who dress festively for trick-or-treating!
