Weekday Wardrobe #12: Mellow Yellow

Isn’t this yellow the perfect color for Fall?! I didn’t always love yellow on me but as I have gotten older it has definitely grown on me! This beautiful setting really made it pop. This outfit is from the same shoot that I did with my friend Brooke! There is something about a beautiful walk in the woods this time of year. This park is near her home and it was the perfect accessory for the outfits I shared!

Weekday Wardrobe #12: Mellow Yellow

There are two criteria that I look for when I am shopping for Fall pieces. One is that it is easy to layer under a sweater or a jacket. This shirt is a t-shirt material and it is close fitting so it checked this box right away! It is breathable so I don’t get too hot but if I wanted I could easily throw a sweater on over it!

And the second thing that I look for is bright colors. Colors like this yellow ochre shirt just feel so autumnal. The weather in the PNW is dreary a lot of the time during the late Fall and Winter so I love to dress in bright colors to boost my mood! They’re also really pretty!

This is my favorite pair of dark wash skinny jeans from Torrid. They go with anything and are so flattering on my shape! Like I said in my last weekday wardrobe post…skinny jeans forever! And yes, that is a hill I will die on so don’t come at me!

For this outfit, I wanted to accessorize a little more to demonstrate how to add a little flair to your photos! The necklace is super old, I got it at a Cookie Lee party in my early 20’s. It has this really cool set of intertwined chains with charms and then the fastener is a black ribbon! And this headband from Forever 21 is perfect for any occasion. I also love how the black of the accessories makes the shirt color pop even more!
