How to Make Your House Smell Like Fall
I am a Bath and Body Works candle lover but my husband, sadly, is not. Smells are one of those things that instantly take you back to a time or place. The smells around the holidays are the most prominent in my memory. For example, the smell of a freshly baked pumpkin pie or the turkey roasting in the oven conjures up feelings of cozy holidays with family! So, in an effort to keep my house smelling festive, I thought it would be fun to try a simmer pot recipe!
How to Make Your House Smell Like Fall
These simmer pot recipes are all over Pinterest. There are a ton of different variations so I kind of chose the smells I like the best!
The first scent is orange peels. I love how fresh orange peels smell. It reminds me so much of the chocolate oranges that are available around the holidays. Vanilla extract gives the scent a bit of sweetness. It rounds out the smell so nicely!
The next scents are cinnamon and clove. These are THE holiday scents to me. All of the best baked goods have cinnamon and clove in them this time of year. The last scent is likely not needed but it is pumpkin pie spice. Now that I think about it, I probably would have left it out but I do think that it enhanced the smell!
Overall, I love the smell of this pot! To me, it is more of a Christmas-y scent but makes the house smell divine regardless! Give this a try and let me know what you think in the comments below!
