5 Things in November 2022
I love the month of November! You have Thanksgiving to look forward to and it’s a nice buffer between Halloween and the craziness of Christmas. We haven’t been up to much this month, but I kind of like it that way. These 5 things posts are meant as a kind of diary for myself anyways as a way to practice gratitude even when it doesn’t feel like we have done anything.
5 Things in November 2022
Dave Matthews Concert
At the beginning of the month, we got invited to go to see the Dave Matthews Band at The Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. It has been several years since we went to see them! The last time was at The Gorge over in George, WA. We met up with some friends for dinner before the show at McMinnemans in Queen Anne. After the show, we returned to the same place for some drinks. It was such a great show and the company was spectacular as well!
The Mel Robbins Podcast
I go for a walk almost every morning. It is my favorite way to start the day. I go through phases of what I listen to. Sometimes I will devour audiobook after audiobook. Recently though, I have been craving motivational and uplifting podcasts. I discovered Mel Robbins on Instagram and she is one of my favorite people I follow for all things personal development. She recently launched her own podcast and when I tell you I have listened to every episode, I mean I listened to them all over the course of a week. Now I have to wait for new episodes to launch on Mondays and Thursdays LOL!
The subjects are so informative and her tips and insights are so motivational and inspiring. It really feels like she is talking directly to me and we are having a conversation over coffee! If you’re looking for a new podcast, I highly recommend this one!
Our Fancy New Cat Tree
Our kitten Theo has a bad habit of getting up on the counters. In an effort to distract him from the counters and from tearing up our couch, my husband purchased the most luxurious cat tree available! It’s got 4 platforms, a little cat fort, and three hanging toy features! It is pretty much as tall as I am and Theo LOVES it! And I love watching him play on it and lay in it! It melts my heart!
Beautiful Fall Weather
We have been so lucky with the weather this Fall! The days are cold but so sunny with clear blue skies. My morning walks are cold but so gorgeous. The sun on the beautiful changing leaves is such a sight to behold! I even was able to get out and get some yardwork done to prepare our garden beds for winter!
Hosting Thanksgiving
I could not NOT include our hosting Thanksgiving in my 5 highlights of the month! Sometimes hosting can be a stressful thing but we did a great job of delegating this year! I was able to do a lot of prep ahead of time to get the house ready. We also prepared a lot of it ahead of time so we could enjoy the day and celebrate with family and friends! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day however you celebrated!
