Easy Festive Outfit: All is Merry & Bright
I know what you’re thinking. Yes, this is another outfit with a dress under a festive sweatshirt! What can I say, I am really trying to mix things up a bit! This just might be my new favorite outfit combo! It feels so put together but still cozy like I like my outfits this time of year.
Easy Festive Outfit: All is Merry & Bright
So, for the longest time, I avoided wearing red. My skin tone has a lot of pink and red in it and I felt the color red just made me look flushed. I mean one sip of alcohol and my skin gets red like a tomato, it has something to do with my heritage because it happened to my Grandma and my dad gets it too! I kept seeing this sweatshirt a few years ago in an Instagram ad and loved how simple it was. Finally, after several abandoned carts, I pulled the trigger and bought it.
I am so glad I did too. It feels like the most festive piece I own and it helped me get over my limiting beliefs about wearing red clothes. I love the way this looks on me. This is the first festive piece I bought and it inspired the rest of my holiday clothing collection!
This dress is one I picked up to wear for my bridal shower! Honestly, I have not worn it since that day so I am glad that I have found a use for it now! It is from Betsey Johnson and the quality is spectacular! It is also a bit heavier fabric which makes it perfect for this time of year when worn like this! I picked mine up at Macy’s but I could a similar one on Amazon that I have linked below!
To dress this up a bit I paired it with my black booties from Torrid. These are always my go-to boots this time of year when I need to get a little more dressy! They are so comfortable to wear.
And how much do you LOVE these earrings?! I got them from Joann Fabric store this year and I am not sure I could find a more perfect pair for this outfit!
