10 Ways to Romanticize Your Life This Fall

If you’ve been around here for any amount of time, you know how much I LOVE the Fall season! The changing leaves, cozy sweaters, warming drinks, and Halloween…I love it all! One thing I love about romanticizing your life is that it allows you to make the most of the current season. If you’re having a hard time with Summer ending or you want to make the best of the upcoming season, here are 10 ways to romanticize your life this Fall!

10 Ways to Romanticize Your Life This Fall

Take a walk through the leaves

The changing Fall leaves is one of my favorite things about this time of year. We have two perfect walking trails near our house with sections under a canopy of deciduous trees. These canopies make for the most magical walks during the Fall. I love to get bundled up, grab a hot drink, and go for a walk through the leaves. It gets me out in the fresh air and in nature which is so good for the soul!

Go on a coffee date

There is something so romantic about a coffee shop this time of year. Especially ones with cushy armchairs and a cozy fireplace! I encourage you to find an independent coffee shop with tons of character and bring a friend along for a coffee date. You can have a catch up with all the Fall vibes!

Create a cozy playlist

It’s amazing how a good playlist can create the ultimate cozy vibe. Spotify has tons of Fall vibes playlists. One that I am loving currently is this instrumental one! I enjoy listening to jazz this time of year too. I made a playlist with the likes of Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, and more. There is something so comforting about these crooners and their music that just gets me in a cozy state of mind!

Update your Fall wardrobe

I love a Fall sweater! Sweatah Weathah is my jam! Fall is my favorite time of year to dress for and I usually like to pick up a new sweater or two to add to my collection. A new sweater or new pair of boots brings a little breath of fresh air to my wardrobe. I got a few new sweaters this year that I cannot wait to share with you!

Decorate your home or your space

I am a Fall girl AND a Halloween girl. If anyone says I can’t be both, we can’t be friends. My absolute love for decorating this time of year has been well-documented here on the blog. There is nothing like getting out the cozy throws and all the pumpkin spice scented candles to make you feel the coziest! I love to put on my Fall playlist or one of those ambiance videos you can find on YouTube that are like 3 hours long and get my decorating on. I decorate for Halloween in late September and then transition to Fall decor in early November. Decorating makes everything feel so festive!

Read a cozy book

Grab a warm drink and your coziest throw blanket and curl up on the couch with a good book! The Everygirl has a list of books to get stuck into this season!

Have a festive drink

There is something so cozy about a warm drink this time of year. I do love a Pumpkin Spice Latte but I am not much of a coffee drinker. My favorite tea during the Fall months is Twinnings Pumpkin Spice Chai and it tastes so good with some milk and a hint of sugar! The flavors are so quintessentially Fall, it’s the perfect drink for a crisp Fall morning!

Start a journal practice

You know I love a good journalling session! I love to sit at a cafΓ© with a warm drink and my journal. If you don’t know where to start, check out my post on How to Start Your Journal Practice this Fall and this post on 15 Journal Prompts for Fall that I shared during Blogtober last year!

Watch cozy movies

My perfect Fall day would most definitely include a movie night watching one of my favorite cozy movies! Some of my favorites to watch this time of year are You’ve Got Mail, Practical Magic, Little Women, Dead Poet’s Society, October Sky, or any of my favorite Spooky Season movies!

Do some Fall baking

The smells this time of year are so glorious. I love the scent of clove, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, the combination just screams Fall flavors! I love to make pumpkin bread but there are a whole host of options to bake this time of year!

What are you most looking forward to this Fall season?
