My October Bucket List with Free Download
Hello October and welcome to the first day of Blogtober! If you’re not familiar, Blogtober is where I post every day for the month of October. I did this last year and it was so much fun that I wanted to try it again! I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with everything I have lined up for this month. It’s going to be a good one so strap in and let’s get this party started! First up is a fun bucket list for October! Read till the end for a free PDF download!
My October Bucket List
If you are looking to make the most of a season, I recommend making a bucket list. It makes for a fun little checklist of things you want to get to do during the month! It’s also nice to reference if you’re stumped for things to do on a particular weekend! Here is what I have on my October bucket list for 2023!
Make Chili
I love chili in the Fall! It is warming and hearty and perfect for a cold day! This recipe for crockpot beef chili from Half Baked Harvest looks perfect!
Carve Pumpkins
Carving pumpkins is something I never miss this time of year! We have started a tradition of carving pumpkins with our friends and their kids and making a whole occasion of it. I love it every year!
Have a cup of tea in a Halloween mug
This is kind of a cheat because I have already started doing this! So maybe it could be to have a different festive drink in a Halloween mug.
Eat some Halloween candy
I try and buy a bag of candy for trick-or-treaters as close to Halloween as possible. Mostly because I don’t want to eat it all before Halloween! This year though, I am going to help myself to a few pieces!
Roast pumpkin seeds
I have some recipes coming at you later this month!
Make a pinecone bird feeder
Our little feathered friends need all the help they can get to find food this time of year. I think this would be a fun project to do with kids as well!
Go to a haunted house or corn maze
If you’re local to the Seattle area, a great one is at Maris Farms and also one called Fright Factory. Both are in Buckley and are equally good. The cost for Fright Factory is about half of the Maris Farms price!
Watch a scary movie
If you know me, you know I am not a huge fan of scary movies. The type of movies I like to watch this time of year are along the lines of Addams Family and Beetlejuice. But, every once in a while a little scare from a movie is fun!
Dress up in costume or a festive outfit
If you’ve been around for the last two Octobers, you know that I love to dress festively all month long! I will be sharing more this month on my festive fashion!
Go to a pumpkin patch
It’s been a while since I have been to an actual pumpkin patch to get my carving pumpkin. This is something I would love to make happen this month!
Burn Fall candles
Fall and Christmas candles are my favorite so this is something that will definitely happen this month!
Have a movie night
One of my favorite things to do this time of year! Here is a post from last Blogtober on how to have the perfect movie night!
Decorate for Halloween
I love to decorate for Halloween! It makes the house so fun and festive!
Bake a pumpkin recipe
I think a lovely pumpkin bread is in my future!
Drink an October Beer
My favorite is Night Owl from Elysian!
