DIY Halloween Decorations: Spooky Eyes

This may sound a little weird but it is always my goal to entice the most trick-or-treaters to come to my door on Halloween night. I love seeing the costumes and giving out candy so much. This is why my Halloween night usually is a cozy movie night. I get to watch my favorite movies before I have to put them away for the year and give out candy. It’s so much fun. My favorite way to entice them to come get candy from us is to add fun decorations along the driveway and decorate the porch! This is the easiest project but it is so fun! Here’s how I made glowing eyes for my landscaping!

DIY Halloween Decorations: Spooky Eyes

Supplies:

  • Toilet paper and paper towel rolls
  • Craft knife
  • Mini Glowsticks
  • Tape

Steps:

  1. Draw your eye designs on the middle of your paper rolls. For the paper towel rolls, I like to add 2 or 3 sets of eyes since there is more space!
  2. Using the craft knife cut out the negative space of your eye designs (the parts you want to light up)
  3. Just before your trick-or-treaters are about to arrive, activate the glowsticks and tape one inside each paper roll to secure it in place. If you are using the paper towel roll whole, use 2 to 3 mini glowsticks.
  4. Place each set of eyes in various places along your driveway or the path the trick-or-treaters will take to your door to add a bunch of fun to their experience!
