Homemade Mini Wreath Christmas Ornaments
I love the idea of incorporating natural elements into my Christmas decor! I have lots of faux trees but we always get a real one because I love the smell and I think they are the most beautiful! A few years ago I made a natural garland using tree branches from my dad and my dad’s neighbor’s yards for the front porch and it was so beautiful and fun to make!
This year, I wanted to make natural ornaments for the tree and these little wreaths were just the thing! I used rosemary from my garden and you can get fresh rosemary in the produce section at the grocery store. I think other herbs would work great as well like thyme, sage, and bay leaves in a mini wreath. Though these herbs may take different methods of securement, they would look just as cute! These work great as ornaments but would make perfect placeholders for your Christmas table as well with a little nametag!
Homemade Mini Wreath Christmas Ornaments
Supplies:
- Fresh Rosemary
- Twine
- Floral wire (optional – I used the twine to secure)
- Hot Glue
Instructions:
Clip your rosemary into about 12″ – 18″ sprigs. Try to get the sprigs that feel the most flexible.
Gently bend your each sprig into a wreath shape. Wrap the flexible end (the tip of the sprig) around the thicker stem to help secure the wreath. Then, using floral wire or twine, secure the wreath in place.
Using the twine, create a loop for the hanger, securing it over where you tied the twine or floral wire to cover that up. Tie some of your twine into bows and secure them to your wreath using hot glue! They smell divine and look so adorable on the tree!
