Cute & Easy Valentine’s Day Garland

In full honesty, I am not usually one to decorate for Valentine’s Day. It’s just not a holiday I get super excited about. But, I was wandering through Fred Meyer the other day and saw some super cute Valentine’s decorations and I was inspired. This garland could not be easier to make either. I used cardboard that I had lying around, a paint pen, and some markers! I love how it looks hanging on the mantle. It brings a little whimsy to these grey Winter days!

Supplies

Instructions:

  1. Cut out rectangles and hearts from your cardboard.
  2. Using the paint marker and the colored markers, draw your desired design on the hearts and make the rectangles look like little envelopes. I cut out red hearts for the envelopes and for the little pink hearts I cut out white paper and colored them pink with my markers.
  3. Using the hole punch, add holes to each heart and envelope.
  4. Thread the twine through each hole to make your garland. You can tie knots or use some glue to secure each piece if desired.
