Happy Hosting: A Valentine’s Day Tablescape

Jake and I don’t typically celebrate Valentine’s Day. If we do, it’s usually a card exchange and we share a yummy treat. This year though, I want to add a little whimsy to our dinner on Valentine’s Day and the first step to doing that is this simple and adoreable tablescape. The only things I purchased for this setup are the tapered candles, tulips, and the conversation hearts. I like putting together a thoughtful table with things that we already own. It makes it feel that much more special.

Happy Hosting: A Valentine’s Day Tablescape

I am a lover of a good tablescape. I have done elaborate tables for holidays but the simple ones I can put together on a weeknight or a slow weekend are my favorite. Candles are a must. They just instantly elevate the table and make the atmosphere feel very cozy! I love to add fresh flowers as well and for a Valentine’s table these tulips are perfection! The dried bouquet is made up of flowers from my wedding bouquet. I love that romantic touch on my table for two!

We have had the napkins and table runner for a few years now. Together, they are the perfect combination. The flowers on the runner are perfect without being overtly Valentine-themed. I folded the top of the napkins into a heart shape for that little extra touch as well. Lastly, the conversation hearts are a sweet touch for the Valentine’s theme and can double as a treat after the meal!

This table works great for a romantic dinner for two and would also be good for a Galentine’s dinner!
