Simple Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Back in 2017, I posted a recipe idea for chocolate-dipped green apples. It’s still one of my favorite recipes here on the blog! Now that Valentine’s Day is coming up, I want to add my take on chocolate-dipped strawberries! A staple for any Valentine/Galentine get-together. I haven’t always liked chocolate. In fact, as I kid, I hated chocolate. I think my transformation from a chocolate hater to being okay with eating chocolate is fruit dipped in chocolate. Chocolate is still not my first choice when it comes to sweet treats but these chocolate-dipped strawberries are delicious and so easy to make!
Simple Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Ingredients:
- Strawberries
- Melting Chocolate (Semi-Sweet & White chocolate, I got mine in the baking aisle)
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Shredded Coconut (optional)
- Slivered Almonds (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse and dry your strawberries. Do your best to keep the tops on.
- Melt your chocolate according to the directions on the package. I used the double boiler method to melt mine.
- Once the chocolate is melted, dip your strawberries making sure to cover the majority of the flesh. Lay them on a piece of parchment paper to dry.
- This step is optional, before the chocolate dries, sprinkle your favorite toppings on the strawberries. I tried some marbling as well with both chocolates.
- Allow the chocolate to dry and solidify on the strawberries for at least an hour. Store in the fridge until you’re ready to serve!
