Life Lately: March 2024

What a whirlwind month March has been! Spring is finally here and the new gardening season is well and truly underway! I spent lots of time out in the garden this month and it feels so great! Spring is one of my favorite seasons and I am so glad it’s here! Here is life lately in March 2024!

Life Lately: March 2024

Uncle Malo’s memorial

At the start of the month, we celebrated the life of my Uncle Malo. It was so nice to see members of my family all in one place. It was a lovely service and the perfect send off for him.

Out for a friend’s 50th

Our friend turned 50 this month and we went out in North Seattle to celebrate her! We had some drinks at an Irish bar and then hung out a few other places to celebrate!

Celebrating mom’s birthday

We also celebrated my mom’s birthday this month. I had her over for breakfast. It was just the two of us which was kinda nice. I made french toast and sausage and we sat and chatted for a while. I love getting to spend one-on-one time with her!

Pickleball

This month Jake and I have gotten into playing pickleball. We are getting pretty good at volleying the ball, and we’ve just been practicing without scoring. It’s a fun activity to do together. I have loved spending that time with him enjoying some of the nice weather we have had this month!

Video call with friends

I hopped on a call with my friends Nicole and Kristine this month. We haven’t been able to get together in a while so it was nice to catch up over a video call!

Dinner at home with friends

We are going on vacation with our friends and their kids in April so we had them over for dinner to plan our itinerary for the trip. We made veggie tarts and watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban as well. It was a lovely evening!

Prawn taco night with my dad and aunt

My dad took a trip down to Arizona this month to stay with his friend. They traveled to Mexico and my dad brought home some giant prawns. We decided to have a taco night with my dad and Aunt Theresa. It was nice to get together to welcome my dad back from his trip!

Eras Tour watch day with Lydia

My cousin Lydia came over and watched The Eras Tour with me. It was a lovely afternoon. We had lunch, got caught up, and enjoyed the concert film together!

Brewery & Dinner with Calvin

Jake’s old co-worker started a brewery out of his garage a few years ago and now he has a brewery and taproom in Woodinville! We went up there with our friend Calvin and then went out to dinner at a restaurant called The Tipsy Cow in Redmond. We had a great afternoon!

In the Garden…

March brought the first warm weather of the year and it was so needed! I made the most of the beautiful weather to prepare the garden for Spring! I am running out of space for seedlings but still have a few more vegetables to start but things are looking good! I feel like I am waking up from my Wintertime hibernation, and spending time outside feels so good!
