My Current To-Be-Read List
I always make goals to read more every year. While I manage to get through some books, I get distracted a lot. I’ve been in the middle of re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for over a year now… But, this year I have set myself up for success by reading in the evening when I get in bed! I have gotten into a bad habit of scrolling on my phone which has messed up my sleep. So, instead of picking up my phone in bed, I am picking up my book! Here’s hoping for more book adventures in 2025 and what is currently on my to-be-read list!
My Current To-Be-Read List
The Little Wartime Library by Kate Thompson
This book is a find from the little library that is in our neighborhood. The same little library that I got my last read Home Again by Kristin Hannah in. I am a sucker for WWII historical fiction books and this one takes place in London in 1944. The cool thing about this book is that it is based on a true story about the underground library and shelter created during the Blitz in a Tube Station in Bethnal Green. I am about 85 pages in and am starting to love it. I can’t wait to read about the history at the end too!
Supper Club by Lara Williams
I picked this book up in an independent bookstore near Seattle a few years ago. We were there for a friend’s poetry reading and I was browsing the shelves for something new to read. The cover of this book is beautiful and the story sounds fun and intriguing. It’s a coming-of-age story about women reclaiming their appetites and taking up space fearlessly!
The Wedding People by Alison Espach
This book is another little library find! The book cover is lovely and honestly, that is what made me pick it up! The reviews on GoodReads seem good and I am looking forward to getting stuck into this story!
Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown
I read The Light of Paris by Eleanor Brown last year and loved it. I’ve always been interested in books that take place in Paris so I decided to read her collection of essays by other bestselling authors who write about Paris called A Paris All Your Own. It was beautiful and I wanted to read more from Eleanor Brown so I picked this book up on Amazon. I am excited to read more from Eleanor Brown and can’t wait to read this book!
