An Easy DIY Spring Wreath
I’ve done several holiday wreaths for my front door in the last few years. For the most part, I keep my front porch pretty bare throughout the year, but I wanted to do a simple wreath in anticipation of Spring! I love these grapevine wreaths from Michaels. They are inexpensive and versatile for all seasons and occasions. Their rustic look felt perfect for the type of spring wreath I wanted to make. This project is super easy and requires very few supplies! I hope you give this a try and let me know what you think!
An Easy DIY Spring Wreath
I love the rustic look of this wreath! And adding the moss from around my yard makes the perfect base for this wreath! I recommend pastel colors for the body of the birdhouse as they feel quintessentially Spring. I love the look of the sage green paint with the antiquing medium on the roof!
Supplies:
- Grapevine wreath (Mine is 14″ from Michaels)
- Mini wooden birdhouse (Here)
- Acrylic paint in your desired color (Mine here)
- Antiquing medium or brown paint (Mine here)
- Paintbrush
- Dried moss (Mine is from my yard but craft stores also have dried moss)
- Hot glue & hot glue gun
- Twine

Method:
- Using the antiquing medium, brush it on the roof of the birdhouse. Make sure to get underneath the roof awnings as well. Wipe off any excess medium. Allow to dry.
- Paint the body of the birdhouse with the acrylic paint in your desired color. I did two coats. Allow to dry completely.
- Using the hot glue gun, attach the moss in various spots on the grapevine wreath.
- Use the twine to attach the bidhouse to whichever point of the wreath you want so that it hangs in the middle of your wreath.
- Use another piece of twine to hang your wreath on your door!
