A Week of Summer Outfits

We are in the depths of Summer, and to be honest, this isn’t my favorite season to dress for. Cooler weather is where I feel like my style shines. But, in an effort to find a Summer style all my own, I have picked up a few different pieces that I have been wearing on repeat! I am going for comfort with a little fun mixed in, and I think I have been nailing it so far! Here is a week of Summer plus-sized outfit inspiration for you!

A Week of Summer Outfits

Outfit #1:

I have been hitting the thrift stores a ton this Summer and not just for home goods. I picked this dress up at the Value Village a few months ago and was so excited to have a cute and colorful Summer dress for my wardrobe! It’s lightweight and so comfortable to wear. I love the tie details on the sleeves, and I’ve been really into stripes lately, so I was so excited when I saw this! If I had a belt to match, I would lean more toward belting this look to give it a little more shape.

I have had these Levi sneakers for a few years now, and they are the perfect addition to any outfit to add a cute, feminine touch with the lovely coral-y/pinky color. They’re super comfortable to walk in as well, which is a bonus if you as me!

Outfit #2:

I have been loving graphic tees this Summer. This one from Etsy caught my eye because it’s for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. My dad worked for the US Forest Service when he was just out of college and did so until I was a young child. He taught the public about the importance of forest conservation and protecting the environment, and also about fire safety and how to prevent forest fires. Protecting our National Parks and public lands is so important, and if I can give a little reminder here and there, I am going to do that!

The dress that is under this tee is thrifted, but it originally came from Old Navy. It is a ribbed material midi dress with slits up each side of the dress. Unfortunately, it is not available at Old Navy anymore, but I did see one in a different color. It’s so comfortable to just throw on, especially in the hot weather. The sandals I paired this outfit with are ancient, I believe they were originally from Old Navy as well.

Outfit #3:

Tomato season is my favorite season in the garden! When I saw this adorable tomato tee design on Etsy, I knew I had to have it so I could pose with my tomatoes later this Summer. It’s turned out to be one of my favorite t-shirts and I wear it all the time! I get compliments on it when I go out, and it’s just so fun to wear!

These shorts were another killer thrift find earlier this Summer. They are originally from Old Navy, but I got them at a local Value Village (seriously missing out if you aren’t going there). They are high-waisted, and I love how it is cuffed at the bottom! And then I paired this outfit with my trusty go-to sneaker since I was in high school, the old reliable Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars! I used to have these in every color when I was young. This is one of the specialty colors called Rainwashed Grey. It’s such a versatile color, and I pair these sneakers with a variety of outfits!

This outfit checks all the boxes in the cute and cozy department! This tee is another great Etsy find. I was influenced by social media but the design on this tee was unique compared to what I had been seeing. I love Etsy for that. I also love that I can support small businesses and get a cute and comfortable shirt out of the deal!

These bike shorts came in a 2-pack from Walmart a long time ago, but I am certain you would be able to find a pair similar with a quick search on Google or Amazon. I used to think that bike shorts were only for working out, but I have been wearing them to all sorts of places this Summer. I love the casual and cozy vibe of them!

Outfit #5:

This is probably my favorite top I have ever owned. It is a short-sleeve tomato sweater, and I instantly added it to my cart the second I saw it. I know sweaters are typically a Summer staple, but this one is short-sleeved and is cropped. It’s perfect for evening events when the temps are a bit cooler! I loved that I was able to pair it with a new pair of red Chucks!

These shorts are quite old, but they’re incredibly comfortable, and I always love a dark denim number paired with a really cute sweater. I feel like the dark blue makes the red just pop! Will be wearing this on repeat through the Fall!
