Last Minute Costume Idea: A Pirate
Back in 2022, I shared three last-minute costume ideas for Blogtober. It’s been a few years, so I thought it would be fun to share three more. My philosophy is still that I want most of the costumes to be made up of things I already own, and this year, I think I have nailed that! I only had to purchase a few props, and I love how these costumes turned out! I am still much more of a festive clothing gal than a costume gal, but these costumes are so easy to put together at the last minute, so I really wanted to include them!
Last Minute Costume Idea: A Pirate
When I was thinking about this costume, I could not get Mr. Smee from Peter Pan (the animated Disney version). The only thing similar in my costume is the blue striped t-shirt, but I know I wanted to go more fun and cutesy than swashbuckling. My pants are an old pair of sweatpants that I have hiked up to my knees and kept in place with hairbands. My boots are some that I’ve owned for a while. And I only had to purchase the headscarf, eye patch, and sword for this costume. It’s simple, but I love how it turned out!
