Life Lately: October 2025

What a fun and exciting month October has been! It can sometimes feel overwhelming planning and executing 31 days of everyday posts, but every time I finish an entire month of Blogtober, I am filled with so much pride to have pulled it off once again! This year has been my favorite one yet, so many fun outfits and projects! I have so many more ideas for posts for next year as well! Thank you so much for any support you’ve given this month, reading a blog post, watching my 31 Days of Spooky Season Inspired Outfit videos over on TikTok, or simply sharing anything you think others would like! It’s truly such a joy for me, and I am so happy to share with you my life lately for October 2025!

Heading to Concrete with friends

Early in the month, we headed up North to Concrete, WA, with our friends Nich and Mishell. Our friend Nich’s parents live up there and they have a stream that runs down the back of their property. The salmon were running when we went up there, and they showed us their spawning grounds in the stream! I have seen salmon runs in other areas, but we were right on the riverbank to see them up close! The stream is protected so they can run and spawn in their natural way. It was so cool to see!

We also drove about 20 minutes up the road to a national park and did a short hike on an interpretive trail before returning to Nich’s parents’ house, where they were kind enough to serve us dinner! It was such a lovely day, and the area up there is so beautiful!

Jake’s Birthday

I got to celebrate one of my favorite people early in the month! I took Jake out for a delicious dinner at Melrose Grill in Renton, WA. We had a great steak dinner, fantastic wine, and a delicious berry crumble for dessert! Afterward, we met my mom at a dive bar down in Kent and played a game of pool. It was a great evening!

Seattle Reign soccer game

We decided to make a trip to the city to attend a Seattle Reign game. It is our Women’s Soccer team and they played amazingly! Afterward, we checked out a few bars downtown. We had some really delicious wine and cocktails, and spent the evening talking.

Pickleball and dinner with friends

Jake and I have really been enjoying going out in the early evenings to play pickleball. We talked out friends into coming out to meet us at a court that is local to our house and then after we played, we headed over to a place called Paolo’s in Kent for a yummy Italian dinner!

Halloween get-together at a friend’s

My friend Nicole and her husband Terrell had me over for a Halloween get-together. They served yummy snacks and pizza, and we had drinks and talked all night. We also watched Scream as a group, which was a fun experience. It was a lovely evening!

Annual Pumpkin Carving Party

Last Sunday, we had our annual pumpkin carving party! I made chili and we had such a great group of friends over! We carved pumpkins, watched cutesy Halloween movies, and got caught up with everyone! It’s one of my favorite get-togethers of the year!

Blogtober 2025

Another successful month of Blogtober is in the books! This year has been my favorite one yet. The projects were so much fun to make, and I loved the outfits and the recipes I pulled together! It’s always such a labor of love and hard work and I feel so accomplished when I finally schedule the final post. I hope you enjoyed this year, and if you have anything you’d like to see from me for next year, be sure to let me know in the comments!

In the Garden…

It’s been such a beautiful month out in the garden! The cosmos and the zinnias are still going strong, and a cold snap finished off my pumpkins and tomatoes. Lots of clean up in the next month but I am looking forward to spending some more time out there at the end of the season!
