6 Activities to do Before Fall is Over
Before the last leaves fall and winter’s chill sets in, there’s still plenty of time to savor the beauty and productivity of autumn. Fall offers a unique window—those crisp, golden days perfect for wrapping up seasonal projects, enjoying nature, and preparing for the months ahead. There are a few key activities you won’t want to miss before autumn says goodbye. Here are six rewarding things to do before fall is officially over—each one designed to help you soak up the season’s magic, stay cozy, and get ready for what’s next.
6 Activities to do Before Fall is Over
Go for a Nature Walk
In my opinion, this is the best time of year to go take a walk in nature. The colors can’t be beat, and the weather is cool and crisp! I even love going on walks in the rain this time of year! Remember: there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong wardrobe! So get your umbrella, a warm coat, and some rain boots and get out there!

Get a Fall-Themed Hot Beverage
It’s the season of pumpkin spice latte’s but there are other delicious Fall-themed beverages available at most coffee shops! Meet a friend or bring a good book and enjoy the cozy ambiance and your Fall beverage!

Have a cozy Fall Movie Night
I love a cozy movie night at home. Give me some popcorn, a blanket, and a good movie, and I’m one happy gal! Last year I shared 12 movies to watch to get into the Fall mood, and any one of these would be perfect for your at-home movie night! Here, also, is my fail-safe recipe for stovetop popcorn!

Bake a Pumpkin Spice Flavored Treat
Tis the season for baking, and I love pumpkin-spiced flavored anything! I think this time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to get in the kitchen and whip up your favorite pumpkin-spiced sweet treat! Here are a few recipe ideas to get you inspired!
- Spiked Pumpkin Chai Latte
- Pumpkin Spice Gooey Bars
- Pumpkin Bread
- Pumpkin Spice Ginger Cookies
- Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins
- Pumpkin Pie Spiced Sourdough Granola

Have a Backyard Bonfire
One of my dad’s favorite things to do was to get a fire going in his backyard firepit and potter around the yard. He always looked so happy and at peace when he was out there, and when I think of him, I always remember him that way. We love having small fires in our fire ring outside, and it’s one of our favorite ways to enjoy a crisp, cold Fall evening. We’ll invite our friends and their kids over and have s’mores and sit and chat around the fire! It’s something that we do every Fall, and I am so happy when we’re able to get out there!

Attend a Fall Festival
There are all sorts of festivals this time of year! I encourage you to get out and attend one that you haven’t before! If you’re in Washington, check out these festivals taking place this month:

Let’s be friends!
