A T-Shirt Dress Styled 3 Ways for Fall
I love a t-shirt dress during the summer! It is such an easy throw on piece and can be dressed up or down by adding a few accessories. Now that it’s Fall though I thought it would be fun to show you a few different ways I style my two favorite t-shirt dresses for when the days are shorter and cooler! Look #1 This first look is really perfect for work. but it’s really good for taking a stroll or going shopping as well. I bought this new jacket from Old Navy recently and it was 50% off…no I’m not kidding! It’s a beautiful camel color with a zipper and…

My House at Halloween 2020
Happy Halloween week friends! Here is my second annual Halloween decor post. Decorating for any occasion is one of my favorite things to do! For my house, I really focus on making the common areas as festive and cozy as possible. Those areas include the porch, powder room, family room, and kitchen! I hope you enjoy it and be sure to send me photos of how you’ve decorated this year!

The BEST Roast Chicken and a Delicious Side Dish
Now that the days are getting colder, cozy food is on my mind. I love roast chicken, it is super easy to throw together and there are usually leftovers that can be used for other means for a few days after! This recipe is one of my all-time favorites. The flavors in this recipe are easily interchangeable in the event you don’t have my specific ingredients, you really can’t go wrong. The goat cheese mixture helps to keep the chicken so succulent and adds so much flavor to the meat. Give this a try, I know you’ll love it! Ingredients 5-6 lb Whole Chicken 1 head of garlic 4 oz…

Three Mindsets That I Struggle With
Personal development has been a journey for me. There is so much to explore and it’s nice to be able to focus on certain areas at different points of your life as you feel they are needed. I have come a long way in the last few years but there is always something new to learn about myself or ways to improve certain aspects of my mindset on certain topics. I think it’s great to share when I am feeling motivated and inspired by my personal development, we should celebrate wins of all sizes but I think it’s equally important to share the hard parts. Sharing the parts that you…

My Current Skincare Routine
Full disclosure here, I’ve never really done a lot with skincare. I posted about my nighttime routine back in 2017 which included some skincare bits but to be honest that routine did not last much longer than that post. I find that when I have a ton of steps I am less likely to stick to a skincare routine which is why the only two steps that I’ve done consistently in my adult life is cleansing and moisturizing. Less is more in my opinion and I have sensitive skin on my face so trying a bunch of different types of products usually doesn’t end with my skin feeling all that…

Happy Hosting: Halloween Tablescape
For the second installment of my Happy Hosting series, I decided that a fun Halloween tablescape would be so fun to create. As with my Fall Tablescape, I focused a lot on texture. I started with the table covering. I dropped into Joann to see what fabrics they had available in their seasonal section and found this great vintage looking pattern! I also picked up the black and grey striped fabric that was giving me major Addams Family vibes! Once home, I started to lay the fabric out on the table to see how it would fit, I had purchased some of this webbing that people usually use to decorate…

DIY Halloween: Character Blocks
This has to be my favorite craft project of the bunch. These little character blocks turned out so cute! I hope you give them a try! Here’s what you’ll need: Square wooden dowel Acrylic paint (black, white, orange, green, purple) A piece of stick from the outdoors (for the jack-o-lantern stem) Black pipe cleaners Paintbrush Hot glue/hot glue gun Cut 5 2″ pieces from the wooden dowel. To save your arms, I recommend using an electric saw but I used a hand saw for these. Paint each block in a different color. I did two coats on these. For the Vampire, I painted the top black and made brought it…

DIY Halloween: Candle Holders
The inspiration for this project came from Pinterest! I think the glow of candles instantly makes things feel cozy which is what you want this time of year! I used these glass hurricane candle holders that I picked up at the dollar store but a mason jar would work just as well! These flameless candles are from Amazon! Here’s what you’ll need: Hurricane candle holder or mason jar Frosted glass spray paint Black acrylic paint Paintbrush Flameless candle Wash and completely dry your candle holders. In a well-ventilated area (I did this in my garage with the doors open) follow the instructions on the spray paint canister and frost the…
