They look so cute on my mantle and if you try these out I would love to know how they turn out! DIY Halloween: Flying Bats
One decoration I saw on Pinterest more than any other was the bat decals in various patterns on mantles, walls, and porches. Basically anywhere you can stick a bat there is a Pinterest pin for it! I looked for the decals on Etsy and Amazon and while the prices aren’t super high for them, I knew that I could do them for cheaper. I have been meaning to do this project for a few years now and I am so glad I finally got around to it! If you recreate this tag me in your photos over on Instagram! DIY Halloween: Flying Bats Supplies: Black paper (make sure it’s not…

My Must Watch Spooky Season Movies
One of my favorite things to do during this season besides decorating is to snuggle up and watch my favorite movies! I am not a horror movie person and I have to be in the mood for a thriller. I don’t like to be scared or anything. I love feel-good nostalgic movies that bring me back to a simpler time. All I need is my favorite beverage and a snack and I am in heaven! I posted about all of my favorite Christmas movies here so I thought this year it would be fun to share with you my favorite movies to watch during Spooky Season! Spooky Season Movies I…

DIY Garden Markers
Our backyard is a very high-maintenance backyard. The previous owners added a lot of landscaping that requires a lot of weed pulling. It’s not lost on me that the backyard is what sold me on the house and admittedly I didn’t understand at the time how much work it would be. But, something I have discovered that motivates me through all the work is the end result and how beautiful and peaceful it is in our backyard. So this year I am setting out to make the backyard as beautiful as it can be. I have planted lots of flowers, I am trying to keep up on the weeding, I…

If you’re new to gardening, I highly recommend starting with herbs and the ones below in particular! English Thyme I have a few different plants in various pots out in my garden and it’s no surprise that a lot of comfort recipes for this time of…

My Ultimate Tomato Salad
In my humble opinion, the tomato is the perfect food. Don’t @ me, I stand by that statement and I have loved tomatoes since I was old enough to eat solid foods. They are full of nutrients and are delicious in any form, sundried, raw right off the vine, sliced on a sandwich, stewed, roasted, sauced, in soup form, in salsa, as ketchup…I mean the list is endless. I may just be the biggest tomato fan in the entire world…no exaggeration. My dad used to grow tomatoes in his garden when we were kids and when I was old enough and out of the house, the first thing I wanted…
