Spooky Season Inspired Outfits #2
Pumpkins are possibly my favorite symbol for this time of year and when I saw this sweater on a new website I discovered called Unique Vintage, I had to have it! I love duster sweaters like this, they are easy to dress up for a day out or dress down for a day at home. This one is so cute and the quality is so awesome! I am going to love keeping warm with this! Sweater: Unique Vintage (Here) Tee: Torrid (Here) Jeans: Old Navy (Old – similar here) Boots: Torrid (similar here)

Spooky Season Inspired Outfits #1
Fall is the start of my favorite time of the year. Last year I purchased a fun Hocus Pocus sweatshirt off of Etsy so I could have something fun to wear during October and while I was shopping for new pieces to add to my wardrobe this year, I went down a kind of themed clothing rabbit hole and picked up some really cute spooky season-themed pieces to add to my wardrobe! I was so excited when I received the items and it inspired me to go through my closet and put together an outfit series to share here on the blog. I have used new and old items in…

3 Goals for October
It’s SPOOKY Season! It’s the beginning of my favorite time of the year! It’s the time of year when I feel the most inspired and I have so many fun things planned for the blog this month. I am looking forward to cooler weather, beautiful foliage, Jake’s birthday, and Halloween! 1. Wake up one hour earlier on weekdays I used to get up between 5 and 5:30 am and in the last few years, that time has crept up and sometimes I get up with just enough time to shower and leave for work. I long for slower mornings and I think waking up an hour earlier than I do…

Four Reads that are Great for Your End of Summer Vacation
I love a good beach read. There is just something so fun and easy about them and I always feel transported which is what we all want in a good read! I always root for the main character and feel overcome with emotion when things finally work out for them with their love interest! Here are four reads that I highly recommend for your end of Summer vacation! The Newcomer by Mary Kay Andrews I love the way Mary Kay Andrews can tell a love story! This is a new release for her and it did not disappoint. She always writes a strong female leading character and her settings take…

Weekday Wardrobe #7
When I saw this adorable Schitts Creek shirt on Etsy, I knew I had to have it! There is nothing I love more than a white t-shirt and one that combines that love with my obsession with all things Schitts Creek is something that needs to be added to my wardrobe like yesterday. I like to keep my outfits simple during the summer so pairing this new t-shirt with my ripped shorts and new sandals is probably what you’ll find me in most days! It’s simple but the t-shirt makes it fun! OUTFIT DETAILS: T-shirt: Etsy (here) Shorts: Torrid (old – similar here) Sandals: Torrid (here) Sunglasses: Faux Ray Bans…

My Ultimate Tomato Salad
In my humble opinion, the tomato is the perfect food. Don’t @ me, I stand by that statement and I have loved tomatoes since I was old enough to eat solid foods. They are full of nutrients and are delicious in any form, sundried, raw right off the vine, sliced on a sandwich, stewed, roasted, sauced, in soup form, in salsa, as ketchup…I mean the list is endless. I may just be the biggest tomato fan in the entire world…no exaggeration. My dad used to grow tomatoes in his garden when we were kids and when I was old enough and out of the house, the first thing I wanted…

3 Goals for August
I’ve done a few of these types of posts this year and for the most part, I have achieved what I set out to do in those posts. The reason I like setting goals for each month is that the time period is short and the goals I set can be part of the stepping stones towards achieving a bigger goal I have. This month I am focusing on self-care habits and creating a routine that works for me. I am feeling in a funk right now and am trying to shake it off. I am hoping the goals below will help me with that. 1. Workout 3 times per…

Weekday Wardrobe #6
What a heatwave!! If you’re not in the Pacific Northwest right now, I envy you. I am currently sweating at my desk while the temperature outside is currently 109 degrees very unheard of in western Washington. I also want to acknowledge the fact that I haven’t posted in quite a while but it’s for a good reason. I am still trying to figure out blog, work, business, personal time balance and once I do, I hope I will be making regular posting a thing. This is the first spring/summery outfit I have posted on this blog and I am LOVING it! I bought these shorts for our honeymoon in Bali…

Seeds We’ve Started and the plan for our 2021 Summer Garden
I haven’t shared a lot about my garden in years past on the blog. You can see our 2017 garden here and a post about our backyard here. If you’re interested in our gardens from the last two years you can check out my highlights over on Instagram. Since I was a kid, I have loved the idea of a garden. My dad always had a big garden in our backyard and the moment we bought this house I was planning our garden. I am learning more and more each year and I really want to share more in this space about what I’m learning! We are in gardening zone…

3 Goals for April
Hi there! I took another hiatus for personal reasons at the end of February and all of March but I am back for April with fresh new content and a new posting schedule! My new schedule will be every Monday and Friday and I hope, an increase in some Insta-content in between! Back in February, I set myself three attainable goals for the month. They were simple and I was able to achieve them by making small changes to my routine and I would consider the month a success! I enjoyed myself so much I decided to set 3 more goals for April! 1. JOURNAL AT LEAST 4 TIMES PER…
