Easy Tomato & Leek Tart
Tomatoes are one of my all-time favorite foods, I have liked them since I was young. This recipe is one of my favorite ways to use the summertime tomatoes that I grow in my garden. Sometimes though, in the winter, I just really need that taste of summer and I always go back to this quick delicious recipe! I have some leeks growing in my garden currently and I thought that using one of the smaller ones would work great for this recipe. Ingredients 2 medium tomatoes (mine were on the vine) and 2-3 cherry tomatoes, sliced 1 small leek, finely chopped Feta cheese crumbles 1 TBSP fresh herb combo,…

3 Goals for February
January always seems NEVERENDING. When February finally comes around, I feel like a whole year has passed already. That is a little dramatic, but it always feels like the longest month of the year and I just felt like setting some attainable goals for February would be just what I need to jump start the rest of this year! I decided not to set resolutions this year, but I like the idea of a few monthly goals to focus on. At this point in time, having some small goals to focus on will be helpful! 1. Pack lunch for work everyday Admittedly, I have been not the greatest at packing…

Weekday Wardrobe #5
I took a break from weekday wardrobe posts last month but I got my haircut and color touched up last weekend and I had to take a cute outfit photo with the cute refreshed hair! Over the last few years I have started to love button up shirts more and more. The are a little less casual than t-shirts but you can dress them up or down easily. This shirt is from Old Navy and I love the olive color. My skin has so redness to it but I feel like the olive color still goes well. I’ve paired it with my favorite Old Navy jeans and these cute cheetah…

How I Am Going To Show Up For Myself This Year
Last year around this time I wrote about why you don’t need a new you. It is still so relevant to my life, choosing to accept myself as I am is a decision that I need to make every single day and there are still a lot of days that my anxiety and inner negative nelly win. This year I wanted to share how I am planning on showing up for and prioritizing myself. By practicing these things I hope that my confidence will grow, that my inner demons will be silenced, and most of all that the decision to choose myself becomes easier and that those days become greater…

2020 Reflections
What can I say about the year that is 2020? Like many, I STRUGGLED this year. My mental health took a major hit at several different points and I found it difficult to deal with stressors coming at me from several directions. Stressors that normally give me a hard time but felt like they were amplified because of the circumstances of this year. Accepting that it was okay to not be okay is something I found most difficult this year. I couldn’t go onto social media without seeing all the bread baking, exercising, etc that people were doing and not feel like there was something wrong with me because my…

My Porch at Christmas
It’s only in recent years that I have focused more on decorating our front porch for the holidays. It’s not a very big space but I have felt so inspired to make it feel as festive as possible (see my Halloween decor post here)! I am so proud of the Christmas design this year that I thought I would make my porch decorations their own post! My Christmas decor aesthetic is very Christmas traditional. I love greenery, deep reds, cream and off white, and some natural elements and colors thrown in. Last year on the porch I bought some faux garland from Michaels and started it on the small brick…
