My House at Halloween 2020

Three Mindsets That I Struggle With

My Current Skincare Routine
Full disclosure here, I’ve never really done a lot with skincare. I posted about my nighttime routine back in 2017 which included some skincare bits but to be honest that routine did not last much longer than that post. I find that when I have a ton of steps I am less likely to stick to a skincare routine which is why the only two steps that I’ve done consistently in my adult life is cleansing and moisturizing. For the second installment of my Happy Hosting series, I decided that a fun Halloween tablescape would be so fun to create. As with my Fall Tablescape, I focused a lot on texture. I started with the table covering. I dropped into Joann to see what fabrics they had available in their seasonal section and found this great vintage looking pattern! DIY Halloween: Character Blocks
This has to be my favorite craft project of the bunch. These little character blocks turned out so cute! I hope you give them a try! Here’s what you’ll need: Square wooden dowel Acrylic paint (black, white, orange, green, purple) A piece of stick from the outdoors (for the jack-o-lantern stem) Black pipe cleaners Paintbrush Hot glue/hot glue gun Cut 5 2″ pieces from the wooden dowel. The inspiration for this project came from Pinterest! I think the glow of candles instantly makes things feel cozy which is what you want this time of year! I used these glass hurricane candle holders that I picked up at the dollar store but a mason jar would work just as well! These flameless candles are from Amazon!
