I have loved dressing for the season but what I don’t have a lot of are accessories. To be honest, most days my hair is on a ponytail to keep it off my neck and out of my face! When I saw this super cute headband idea on Pinterest, I knew I had to recreate it! It turned out better than I imagined. If you give this a try let me know how it turns out!

DIY Halloween: Google Eye Headband

Supplies:

Black Headband
Googly Eyes in 3 sizes
Stiff Felt sheet in Black
Hot Glue Gun

Steps:

Place the headband on your head and using a measuring tape measure where you want the googly eyes to sit on the headband. The section I decided on was 5 1/2 inches.
On the piece of felt place two dots in the length that you want the googly eyes.
Place the googly eyes in a pattern that you like.
Glue them down using a hot glue gun. I started with the largest eyes first and filled around them with the smaller sizes. Once they were all glued in place there were some larger spots that weren’t covered so I glued some of the medium and smaller eyes over the open spots. This added a little depth to the homemade applique.
Once all the eyes are glued down, cut out the outline of the eyes.
Using hot glue, attach the applique to the headband. I added a line of glue to each side of the headband for some extra support as well.
