I am a Harry Potter fanatic and these floating witch hats that I am seeing all over Pinterest just remind me so much of the series for some reason! I bought this beautiful new sign for over my Halloween mantle and knew I had to try this decoration myself! I think it’s fair to say that I have a thing for bat decor this year! I have seen signs like this all over Pinterest and Etsy and I decided I wanted to try my hand at making my own! DIY Halloween: Trinket Pedestal
This was a last-minute addition to my DIY decor but I absolutely love the way it turned out and will likely be making more of different sizes! It was super easy to do and altogether the project cost me less than $10! The inspiration for this came from the candlestick I used for the project. Back in 2020 I did a really fun Halloween Tablescape! I always like to put some decor out in our dining room, I think it rounds out the decor spaces nicely in my house this time if year. For the last tablescape, I used various pieces of fabric that I picked up at JoAnn Fabrics. I loved the look of them but this year I decided I wanted something a little less busy! Is it even the beginning of the Fall season without the overwhelming smell of cinnamon the second you walk through the doors at the grocery store? I bought one of those cinnamon brooms a few years ago and thought it was so cute I kept it even after the smell faded. One decoration I saw on Pinterest more than any other was the bat decals in various patterns on mantles, walls, and porches. Basically anywhere you can stick a bat there is a Pinterest pin for it!
