Is it even the beginning of the Fall season without the overwhelming smell of cinnamon the second you walk through the doors at the grocery store? I bought one of those cinnamon brooms a few years ago and thought it was so cute I kept it even after the smell faded. This year I decided to repurpose it and make it officially into a Witch’s broom and I think it turned out so stinkin’ cute! Give this one a try and let me know how it turns out! It must be all the Pumpkin Spice Lattes… I just finished my first month as a full-time business owner and have decided to pivot what my business looks like. I signed up for a copywriting course and am so pumped for what is to come! I have also decided to try Blogtober this year and am having a lot of fun planning content for Spooky Season! The Herbs We Have Growing This Time of Year
We are here in zone 8b, and this time of the year there really isn’t a lot going on in our garden. One thing we do have though are some perennial herbs that stick around all year long! Herbs are one of my favorite things to grow. They are pretty to look at, they taste great in cooking, and they are easy to grow! If you’re new to gardening, I highly recommend starting with herbs and the ones below in particular! English Thyme I have a few different plants in various pots out in my garden and it’s no surprise that a lot of comfort recipes for this time of…

Skills I Want to Learn in 2022
I want 2022 to be the year where I tried new things, refined my knowledge in others, and learned skills that I have been wanting to try out for years! I thrive when I am learning and my hope is that with more knowledge will come increased confidence. Here are a few skills I want to learn or refine! 1. Learn how to use my new camera I dream of taking beautiful editorial photos for this blog and sharing snippets of my life via vlogging. When I decided to make 2022 the year of getting to know myself again and putting myself first, I thought of small things I could do to start the year on the right foot. Things that will bring me joy and make me feel like a goddess. Identifying ways to raise your vibration that you can apply to your life today will help get the ball rolling to a more confident and self-assured future for yourself! 1. Seeds We’ve Started and the plan for our 2021 Summer Garden
I haven’t shared a lot about my garden in years past on the blog. You can see our 2017 garden here and a post about our backyard here. If you’re interested in our gardens from the last two years you can check out my highlights over on Instagram. Since I was a kid, I have loved the idea of a garden. My dad always had a big garden in our backyard and the moment we bought this house I was planning our garden. I am learning more and more each year and I really want to share more in this space about what I’m learning! We are in gardening zone…

3 Goals for April
Hi there! I took another hiatus for personal reasons at the end of February and all of March but I am back for April with fresh new content and a new posting schedule! My new schedule will be every Monday and Friday and I hope, an increase in some Insta-content in between! Back in February, I set myself three attainable goals for the month. They were simple and I was able to achieve them by making small changes to my routine and I would consider the month a success! I enjoyed myself so much I decided to set 3 more goals for April! 1. JOURNAL AT LEAST 4 TIMES PER…

3 Goals for February
January always seems NEVERENDING. When February finally comes around, I feel like a whole year has passed already. That is a little dramatic, but it always feels like the longest month of the year and I just felt like setting some attainable goals for February would be just what I need to jump start the rest of this year! I decided not to set resolutions this year, but I like the idea of a few monthly goals to focus on. At this point in time, having some small goals to focus on will be helpful! 1. Pack lunch for work everyday Admittedly, I have been not the greatest at packing…

My Fall Decor
One of my favorite things to do with Halloween and Fall decorations around my house is to use pieces that can pull double duty for both occasions. This year I bought so many pumpkins and to me, they really are the symbol of the season. For Halloween, I spread the pumpkins out to different areas of the house but for my fall decorations, I concentrated the real ones and the various faux ones to my mantle. For the porch, all I did was switch out the standing sign, the welcome sign, and the welcome mat. The pumpkins out there fit in perfectly with the rest of the fall decor! I…
