Life Lately: March 2026

March seemed to go by really fast this year! It’s finally Spring and the weather is slowly warming up. The garden is starting to wake up and full on seed starting and direct sowing has commenced! We spent a lot of time outdoors and hanging out with friends and just enjoying everything that March has to offer! Here is what we got up to this month!

Wine Tasting in Enumclaw

At the beginning of the month, we went and did a wine tasting with our friends Rose and Greg at a tasting room for Leony’s Cellars in Enumclaw! The wine was delicious, and we left with a few bottles to have at home!

Time with friends

We spent some fun time with other friends this month as well! I went and had an in-person hangout with my friends Kristine and Nicole. We really try to see each other at least once per month, and we’ve really kept that up in the last year! We also had our friends Nich and Mishell and their kids over for dinner. It had been a while since we saw them, so it was nice to get together over dinner and catch up! Then, we met up with our neighbors at a local bar and had dinner and sang some karaoke! It was such a fun evening!

Hiking

Jake and I have really been enjoying getting out for hikes this year! We did the same hike twice this month, it’s the Poo Poo Point Trail out in Issaquah. It is different from the Chirico Trail to Poo Poo Point. It is listed as moderately challenging and is a longer hike than the Chirico Trail, but we had such a nice time the first time that we had to try it again! The second time, the paragliders were up there launching from Poo Poo Point and it was such a fun sight to see! Can’t wait to get out to do other hikes with Jake this year!

Birthday lunch with Mom

Jake and I went to celebrate with my mom for her birthday this month! We took her out to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and had a nice time catching up and having a delicious meal, complete with slices of cheesecake for dessert!

Snow Day

We got our first snow of the year/Winter season this month, which was a crazy but fun surprise!

Burlesque Show in Seattle

Jake and I ventured into Seattle for a burlesque show at a club called The Kremwerk. It was something new and different that we hadn’t done before in Seattle, and the show was great!

In the Garden…

The garden started to come alive this month. Our flowering trees were putting on a show as well as the Spring bulbs! I got busy starting seeds and direct sowing a few others!
